One search, every location, answers as you type.
Spotlight ranks things that mention a word. Waki Explorer finds the file with that name, exactly, in the time it takes to type it. Its index holds file and folder names from every location you add, so you stop remembering where things are.
- Every keystroke narrows the listResults update as you type. There is no search button and no waiting for a scan.
- Folders, drives and cloud folders togetherAdd your home folder, project folders, external drives and the local Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox folders. One query covers all of them.
- Works while it is still indexingThe first index of a large disk takes minutes at low priority. Search answers from whatever is indexed so far and fills in as it goes.

Narrow thousands of files with words, not menus.
Type the filter next to the name: kind, extension, size, date, tag, or words inside the document. Half-remembered names work too, with wildcards, alternatives and exclusions.
Examples you can type into the search field
- Kind, size, date and tagext:pdf, is:folder, size:>10mb, modified:week, tag:red. Combine as many as you need in one query.
- Patterns for half-remembered names*.pdf and report? for wildcards, cat|dog for either, !draft to exclude a word.
- Words inside documentscontent:invoice searches inside supported documents and shows the matching line under each result.

Search without leaving the app you are in.
Press ⇧⌘Space in any app and the search palette opens over it. Pick a result to open the file or reveal it. Searches you run often become sidebar items.

- A palette over any app⇧⌘Space brings up Search Everything without switching windows. Esc closes it and you are back where you were.
- Saved searches in the sidebarSave a query with its filters. “Invoices this quarter” becomes a place you click, not a search you rebuild.
- Finder, Dock and the command line“Open in Waki Explorer” in Finder’s context menu, drop folders on the Dock icon, type waki . in a shell, or drive it from scripts with wakiexplorer:// links.

A complete file explorer, not a viewer.
Four views, each with a job: Icons to recognise, Details to compare properties, List to scan, Columns to walk a tree. Tabs, a preview pane and a second pane keep every folder you are working with in one window.
- Four views, grouped by dateToday, Yesterday and Earlier groups put recent work on top in every view. One item-size setting applies everywhere, so 100 % always looks the same.
- Tabs, windows and dual pane⌘T opens a folder in a tab, ⌘N in a window, ⇧⌘U puts a second folder beside the first for moving files between them.
- Preview pane and Quick LookKeep a preview with size, dates and tags beside the list, drag its edge to resize it, or press Space to Quick Look anything.

Long copies run in a queue you can pause, resume or cancel from the status bar while you keep browsing. Every move, copy, rename, new folder, trash and extract is journaled, so ⌘Z always means something.

See what is wasting space, then decide.
Point Find Duplicates at a folder and it groups files with identical content and shows the space you would recover. Disk Usage lists what takes the room, largest first. Both show you the files; you choose what goes.
- Find Duplicates by contentFiles are compared by what is in them, not by name, so renamed copies are found too.
- Disk Usage, largest firstFolder sizes are computed for real, including nested folders, and sorted so the culprits are on top.
- Folder sizes in the Size columnFolders show their true size in the listing, from the index or a direct measurement, instead of an item count.
- Nothing is deleted for youEvery result is a normal selection: preview it, trash it, or leave it. Trashed files are still undoable.

Batch Rename applies find-and-replace, numbering and case rules to a selection with a live before-and-after list, then undoes as one step. Compare Folders puts two folders side by side and marks what is only on the left, only on the right, or different.
